Brian Froud is an artist and author who has created such bestselling books as "Good Faeries/Bad Faeries, Lady Cottington's Pressed Faery Book, " and "Faeries." The conceptual designer for Jim Henson's films, "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth, " he lives in Devon, England.

Alan Lee was born in England in 1947. Inspired by Tolkien's work to pursue his chosen path as an artist of the mythic and fantastic, he has illustrated a wide range of books including Faeries, The Mabinogion, Castles, Merlin Dreams, the centenary edition of The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. He is a winner of the Carnegie Medal for his illustrated edition of The Illiad, and a conceptual artist for the motion picture adaptation of The Lord of the Rings.

Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer was an apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright and is currently a trustee and Director of the Archives for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is the author of "Frank Lloyd Wright Drawings" and "Treasures of Taliesin" and editor of the highly praised series "The Collected Writings of Frank Lloyd Wright."
David Larkin is the co-author and designer of such celebrated illustrated books as "Classic America" and "Shaker "and publisher of "Barn" and "Wooden Ship."
Paul Rocheleau and Michael Freeman have contributed the new photography included in this book.
