Duels. Explanation of the circumstances under which those en-
gaged in a duel, as principals or accessories, in the District
of Columbia, are guilty of a misdemeanor
Any person in the District of Columbia, striking, assaulting,
beating or wounding another, or causing the same to be
done for refusing to fight a duel, to be punished on con-
viction by confinement, to hard labor, for not exceeding
three years
Any person in the District of Columbia, publishing or posting
another, or causing the same to be done, for declining or re-
fusing to fight a duel, to be punished on conviction, for
not exceeding three years
Any person having left the District of Columbia, with intent
to give or receive a challenge to fight a duel, and giving
or receiving the same, to be guilty of a misdemeanor
Duties. Upon railroad iron, refunded to the Philadelphia, Wilming-
ton, and Baltimore Railroad Company
Duty. All excess of duty paid by umbrella makers who imported
umbrellas, since the passage of the act of 14th July 1832, be-
yond the amount which would have been paid by them if the
10th and 12th clauses of the 2d section of the said Act, had at
all times been suspended, as they were by the Act of 2d of
March, 1833, to be refunded to such umbrella makers
