The work covers the whole period of colonial history from the granting of the Virginia Charter to the reign of George the 3d, but no part was ever published. It was reprinted and published in Boston in 1845, in 2 vols. 8vo.; with a title page prefixed, taken from a copy to which the author himself had written the title with the addition, "suppressed in 1782." Copies of the original are exceedingly rare, only a few copies having been given to friends.
