Sverige och förintelsen: debatt och dokument om Europas judar 1933-1945

Based on contemporary documents, newspapers, books, government protocols and other official material, examines the attitudes of Swedes toward the persecution of the Jews between 1933-40 and toward the mass murders of the Jews between 1941-45. This includes views on the refugee problem and the government's restrictive immigration policy. Notes that the information was available for anyone who wanted to know what was happening to the Jews during the period covered. Gives systematic and chronological documentation and background material from works written in Sweden between 1933-45, and mentions the debate in the Swedish press in 1997 about Sweden's contacts with Nazi Germany and the lack of knowledge about this period amongst Swedish schoolchildren.
