Legislative Assembly of Wisconsin Territory; BEGUN and held at Burlington, in the county of Des Moines, on Monday, the sixth day of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-seven, pursuant to an act of the Congress of the United States, approved 20th April, 1836, entitled, "An act establishing the Territorial Government of Wisconsin." On which day, being that fixed by an act of the Legislative Assembly of the territory of Wisconsin, approved Dec. 8, 1836, for the annual meeting of the Legislative Assembly, the following named members appeared and took their seats, viz:-Messrs. Childs, M‘Williams, Sheldon, Boyles, Smith, M'Knight, Shanley, Cox, Engle, Leffler, Blair, Box, Teas, Chance, Jenkins, and Reynolds. On motion of Mr. Engle, Mr. SHELDON, of Milwaukee, was called to the chair; and On motion of Mr. Leffler, C. S. JACOBS was appointed Secretary, pro tem. |
