HYMN

LXVI.

PSALM cxlvii.

I.

PRAISE ye the LORD; 'tis good to raise

Our Hearts and Voices in his Praife;

His Nature and his Works invite,

To make this Duty our Delight.

II.

He form'd the Stars, thofe heav'nly Flames,
He counts their Numbers, calls their Names:
His Wifdom's vaft and knows no Bound,
A Deep where all our Thoughts are drown'd.
III.

Great is the LORD, and great his Might,
And all his Glories, infinite:

He crowns the Meek, rewards the Juft,
And treads the Wicked to the Dust.
IV.

Sing to the LORD, exalt him high,
Who fpread his Clouds around the Sky;
There He prepares the fruitful Rain,
Nor lets the Drops defcend in vain.

V.

He makes the Grafs the Hills adorn,

And clothes the fmiling Fields with Corn:
The Beafts with Food his Hands fupply,
And the young Ravens, when they cry.

VI.

What is the Creature's Skill or Force ?
The fprightly Man or war-like Horse?
The piercing Wit, the active Limb?
All are too mean Delights for Him!

But

VII.

But Saints are lovely in his Sight,
He views his Children with Delight;
He fees their Hopes, He knows their Fear,
And looks and loves his Image there.
VIII.

Praise GOD from whom all Bleffings flow,
Praife him all Creatures here below ;
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly Hoft,
Praise FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST.

'Till the atoning Blood appears;
Then they awake from deep Diftrefs,
And fing the LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Binding his Slaves in heavy Chains :.
He fets the Pris'ner free, and breaks
The iron Bondage from our Necks.

Poor helpless Worms in thee poffefs
Grace, Wisdom, Power, and Righteousness;
Thou art our mighty All, may we
Give our whole Selves, O Lord, to Thee!

Thy fov'reign Pow'r, thy healing Grace,
