For the indignation of the Lord is upon nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

Isaiah xxxiv. 2, 3. see also verses 6, 7. For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompence for the controversy of Zion. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever; from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. Isaiah xxxiv. 8, 9, 10.

And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. For behold the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebukes with flames of fire. For by fire and by sword will the Lord plead with all flesh; and the slain of the Lord shall be many. Isaiah lxvi, 14, 15, 16. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but

this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. Isaiah ix. 5.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Behold I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege against Judah and against Jerusalem And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; all that burden themselves with it, shall be rent in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered toge-. ther against it. In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the House of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of Hosts their God. In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and. the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. Zech. xii. 9, 2-5, 8

And I saw the Beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against his army. Rev. xix. 19.

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the Beast was slain, and his body destroyed,

and given to the burning flame. Dan. vii. 11. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them and Judgement was given unto them and 1 saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God,. and which had not worshipped the Beast,. neither his image; neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Rev. xx.4.

And the Beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the Beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into A LAKE OF FIRE burning with brimstone. And the reninant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse;. which sword proceeded out of his mouth, and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Revelation xix. 20, 21.

In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish Leviathan the piercing serpent, even Leviathan that crooked. serpent, and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. Isaiah xxvii. 1.

great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit,. and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Revelation xx. 1, 2, 3.. Then shall be the accomplishment of this prophecy, "IT SHALL BRUISE THY HEAD,' as it is written, And I will put enmity between thee (the Serpent) and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, &c. Gen. iii. 15.

And this shall be the plague wherewith theLord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem, Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet; and their eyes shall consume away in their (sockets) holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth... And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be inthese tents, as this plague. Zec. xiv. 12, 15.

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess THEIR POSSESSIONS. And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any re

maining of the house of Esau, for the Lord hath spoken it. And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plane the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephriam and the fields of Samaria and Benjamin shall possess Gilead. And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south. And Saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.

Obadiah 17, 21.

And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgements that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward. Ezekiel xxxix. 21, 22.

So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

Joel iii. 17. see also Isaiah xliv. 1—6. Behold my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonished at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man's, and his form more than the sons of men: so shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not
