Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1 Cor. xii. 27 But because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father. Gal. iv. 6 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the Sons of God. Rom. viii. 14 To whom (the saints) God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Col. i. 27.

For through him we both (Jews and Gentiles) have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Eph. ii. 18 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Eph. ii. 22 And hereby we know that he abideth in us,

by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Quench not the Spirit.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of of lights, &c. James i. 17

For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;

Eph. v. 9 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness. faith, meekness, temperance: Gal. v. 22, 23

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit:

I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. John xv. 5.

3.-The Second Advent means Christ's glorious appearing at his second coming, when he will make a personal descent from Heaven to our Earth.

Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Matt. xxvi. 64.

Luke xxi, 27.

Let your loins be girded about and your lights burning, and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord.... Blessed are those servants whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching.... Be ye therefore ready also for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Luke xii. 35, 36, 37, 40.

For as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matt. xxiv. 27.

And they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. Matt. xxiv. 30.

While they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight....this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts i. 9, 10

Behold he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: Rev. i. 17

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you; whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth. of all his holy prophets since the world began. Acts iii. 20, 21

In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would bave told you: I go to prepare a place for you: And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John xiv. 2, 3

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: 1 Thess. iv. 16 Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of his Saints: to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds, &c.

4.-So far from considering Christ's Second Advent as yet come; the Apostles invariably spoke and wrote of it as future: it was the continual subject of their prayers, and was pointed out by them as an object of hope even to such as had the first fruits of the Spirit.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, at his coming! 1 Thess. ii. 19

So that we ourselves glory in you in the Churches of God, for your patience and faith, &c., that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer; seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recom

pense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ; Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power, When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe, &c. in that day. 2 Thess. i. 4-10 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear; then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Čol, iii. 4

And now, little children, abide in him; that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 1 John ii. 28. Be patient therefore, brethen, unto the coming of the Lord. James v. 7.

Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, in earth; as it is in heaven.

Even so come, Lord Jesus.

And I pray God, your whole Spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
