ther David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke i. 31, 32, 33. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulders and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to established it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah ix. 6, 7. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Psalm ii. 6, 8, 9. I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant. Thy seed will I stablish for ever and build up thy throne to all generations. Also I will make him my first born, higher than the kings of the earth; his seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. Psalm lxxxix, 3, 4, 27, 29. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord; and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee, For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations. Psalm xxii. 27, 28. ...and the Stone that smote the Image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.. And in the days of these Kings shall the God of Heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Daniel ii. 35, 44. down before him; Psalm 1xxii. 11. Yea all kings shall fall all nations shall serve him, He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the river unto the ends of the earth. Psalm lxxii. 8. I saw in the night visions, and behold one like unto the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory and a kingdom, that all people, nations and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel vii. 13, 14. And the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the Saints of the most high whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Daniel vii. 27. When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. Psalm cii. 16. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. Psalm lxxxvi. 9. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the Churches. I am the Root and the offspring of David. and the bright and morning star. Rev. xxii. 26. But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. Jeremiah xxx. 9. It was + Selah! i.e. In the days of Shiloh: note that the word Selah means when Shiloh or Messiah comes. usual with the Hebrews to mark such passages as had peculiar reference to the Messiah and were meant solely to refer to his time, with this simple mark, which was as it were the initials or contraction of his name; Selah or Shelab is indifferently written; and Shelah is put for Shilah or Shiloh in the same manner as we find Shenir is often put for Shinar. one that is mighty: I have exalted one chosen out of the people. I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. Lord where are thy former loving kindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth? Psalm lxxxix. 3, 4. 18, 19, 20, 34, 35, 36, 37, 49. The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it, of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.. For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. This is my rest for ever; here will I dwell; for 1 have desired it...... There will I make the horn of David to bud: Psalm cxxxii. 11, 13, 14, 17 For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure... Blessed be the Lord out of Zion who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Psalm cxxxv. 4, 21 I will be thy King: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, give me a king and princes? Hosea xiii. 10 And the Lord shall be King over all the earth in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one. Zechariah xiv. 9. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord. Zechariah ii. 10, 11, 13 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord, shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it: And many nations shall come and say, come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths; for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem...... And the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. Micah iv. 1, 2, 7. Behold a King shall reign in righteousness, and Princes shall rule in judgement. Isaiah xxxii. 1.
