Of the Senate, at the first session of the tenth General Assembly, of the State of Mis
souri, egun and held at the City of Jefferson, on the third Monday, being the nineteenth day of November, in the year of or Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-eight.
The Senate was called to order by Franklin Cannon, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Missouri, and President of the Senate.
Were present from their respective senatorial districts, as follows:
From the first senatorial district.-Wm. M. Campbell.
From the eighth senatorial district.-Charles R. Scott, and Owen Rawlins.
From the ninth senatorial district.-Thomas J. Gorham.
From the tenth senatorial district.-Daniel Ashby.
From the eleventh senatorial district.-Josiah Morin.
From the twelfth senatorial district.-Cornelius Gilliam. and James T. V. Thompson.
From the thirteenth senatorial district.-Abraham Hunter.
From the eighteenth senatorial district.-David Sterigere, and Johnson H. Alford.
From the nineteenth senatorial district.-John F. Darby, Fredrick Hyatt, and Thornton Grimsley.
From the twentieth senatorial district.-George W. Miller.
A quorum being present William M. Campbell was requested to act as Secretary pro tempore.
Messrs. Jones of Pike, Watts, Conger, Gentry, Sterigere, Maupin, Hyatt, Grimsley, Darby, Noland, Penn, Danforth, Monroe, Miller, Hunter, Ashby, Pratt, Thompson, Gilliam, Morin, Alford, Gorham, and Scott, severally presen ted their credentials, were qualified and took their seats.
