Light is shed on the pathway of time, and on the remote country beyond the grave. It is hoped that in no case will these daily readings become substitutes for the Book of Life. This would be an evil to be seriously deplored. Rather may the reader go back from their perusal, to the Bible with fresh interest; and, having sipped of the streamlet, hasten to drink a larger draught at the fountain!
