The starter complained of the misconduct of several of the jockeys in the race for the Cam. bridgeshire and the T.Y.C. handicap on Tuesday, and a meeting of the Jockey Club was held, after the races on Wednesday, to receive his report. It was ordered that Bates and Bullock, who have been frequently complained of, should be fined £20 each, and Cresswell and Withington £10 each. The other jockeys complained of were Mundy (who was reprimanded, but not further punished, in consideration of his having but recently recovered from his severe accident at Goodwood), and J. Rogers, Bundy, Rayner, Wilberforce, and Plumb- these were also reprimanded, and cautioned against a repetition of the olence.

It was at the same meeting resolved—That jockeys disobeying the orders of the starter shall, for the first offence, be fined 5 sovs., for the second 10, for the third 25, and for the fourth be suspended from riding for such time as the stewards shall think fit.
