From the records of the Kensington parish 1756-1800. This was organized 1705 as the 2d society of Farmington and received the name Kensington in 1822. In 1815 the Beckley quarter of Wethersfield was annexed and in 1818 a section of Middletown. The parish of Kensington was incorporated as the town of Berlin in 1785.
