Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?-Isa. 40: 28.

OUR Heavenly Father, with reverence and humil

ity we would bow at the Throne of Grace to obtain mercy and find grace for our daily needs. Conscious in some measure of our weakness and sinfulness, we earnestly seek Thy forgiving mercy, rejoicing to know that "Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him.” We thank Thee for our home, and for the love that sweetens and beautifies home life. To each member of our family circle grant such blessings as are specially needed. Enlarge and deepen our sympathies. Preserve us from selfishness. Help us to learn patience and self-control. Keep us from hasty, thoughtless and unkind words, and from misunderstanding and misjudging others, and deliver us from anxiety and complaining. Fill Thy Church with missionary zeal and with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Strengthen the weak, comfort the sorrowing, restore the wandering. Remember with special mercy the homeless, the widow and the fatherless and all who are lonely and friendless. Help men everywhere to have the spirit of true brotherhood, and grant the speedy triumph throughout the whole world of the principles of the Gospel of Peace. All of which we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Heb. 4: 14-16.

GOD, our loving Father in Heaven! We look up

to Thee now with reverence and trust and love. We thank Thee for teaching us to "come boldly unto the Throne of Grace."

With penitence we confess our sinfulness, and ask for forgiveness. With trust we bring our weakness to Thee, and ask for strength. With love we bring our hearts to Thee, and ask Thee to enter and possess. Lead us onward step by step. Order the pathway of life for us as Thine own wisdom and love shall see to be best. Help us to be found faithful throughout.

Bless with us our dear ones, and all for whom we should pray. Let Thy peace possess the world. May Thy Kingdom come, O Christ, come quickly! All this we ask in the name of Jesus our Saviour. Amen.

Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you.-John 16: 23.

GOD, Who art the Father of all the families of the earth, and Who makest men to be of one mind in a house: Bless this household, we beseech Thee, and grant that its members may be so united to one another in Thy faith and fear, that Thou mayest have Thy dwelling in them, and through them draw others to know Thee, to love Thee, and to serve Thee.

Set us free, we beseech Thee, from all the sins which we have committed in the years that are past, showing us how we have displeased Thee, making us sorry for all our selfishness, our pride, our anger and every other wrong-doing.

Grant us courage this day to be true to Thee, in thought and word and deed. Make us patient and humble, pure in heart and speech, cheerful and selfforgetful, temperate and just. Strengthen us to stand for the rights of the poor, the oppressed, the forsaken, against the insolence of the rich and the tyranny of the powerful. And bring us at last to Thy Heavenly Kingdom. All this we ask for the sake of Thy dear Son, Jesus Christ, to Whom, with Thee and the Holy Ghost, be glory now and forever. Amen.

I will praise Thy name for Thy loving kindness.
Ps. 138: 2.

GOD, our Heavenly Father, we thank Thee this day for our health and strength, for our homes, for our loved ones, for all the blessings and privileges Thou art giving us every day, but more than all these we thank Thee for the gift of Thy dear Son, Jesus Christ. We thank Thee that Thou didst give Him up for thirty-three years, and that He shed His precious blood, and gave His life, a ransom for our sins.

And so, O God, help us to die to self and sin this day. Forgive us for the mistakes of yesterday, and may they be stepping stones to higher and better things today. Breathe into our lives Thy Christlikeness, shine through our eyes, speak with our lips, grip with our hands, throb with our hearts, and may we help bring the world back to Thee.

We would pray Thee for those who are in trouble, for those who are sick, for those who know Thee not. Grant us in our weakness, strength; in our ignorance, knowledge; and in our sickness, Thy healing touch. Bless all the families we represent, and bless our loved ones wherever they are.

We ask these things, with pardon for all our sins, in Christ's name. Amen.

REV. GYPSY SMITH, JR.,

Haddon Heights, N. J.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When Thou saidst Seek ye my face; my heart said unto Thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not Thy face far from me; put not Thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.-Ps. 27: 7-11.

WE

E BOW humbly before Thee, O Lord, our Father, and render to Thee our praises for all Thy loving-kindness and tender mercy toward us. All that we have and are and hope, we owe to Thy goodness. We humbly beseech Thee to forgive our sins, and cleanse us from every stain of iniquity. Help us to walk before Thee blameless, resisting every temptation, and faithfully performing every duty which devolves upon us. Bless our absent loved ones as Thou seest they have need. Grant unto them and us abundant grace, and the guidance of Thy Spirit, that we may all be strengthened to be and to do as Thou wouldst have us.

Finally bring us all into Thy everlasting Kingdom, we ask, through riches of grace in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen.
