A. R. le Grand-Duc de Bade, animées du défir de réunir
leurs efforts pour garantir la tranquillité de l'Europe
contre les atteintes dont elle pourroit être menacée dans
les circonftances préfentes, et S. A. R. le Grand-Duc
ayant réfolu pour cet effet, et en conféquence de l'invita
tion qui lui a été faite par LL. MM. 1'Empereur d'Au-
triche, l'Empereur de toutes les Ruffies, le Roi du ro
yaume uni de la Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande et S. M. le
Roi de Pruffe, d'accéder à l'alliance que ces quatre Puif
fances ont conclue le 25 Mars dernier, opt chargé de
Leurs pleinspouvoirs, pour régler tout ce qui peut avoir
rapport à cet objet, favoir:

lesquels, après avoir échangé leurs pleinpouvoirs trouvés en bonne et dûe forme, font convenus des articles fuivans.

Acces ART. I. S. M. I. et R. A. s'étant engagée conjointement avec L. L. M. M. l'Empereur de toutes les Ruffies, le Roi du royaume uni de la Grande-Bretagne et d'Ir. lande et S. M. le Roi de Pruffe, à réunir les moyens de

leurs états pour maintenir dans toute leur intégrité les 1815 ftipulations da traité conclu à Paris le 30 Mai 1814, ainfi que celles qui feront arrêtées et fignées au Congrès de Vienne, dans le but de compléter les difpofitions de ce traité, et de les garantir contre toute atteinte et particulièrement contre les deffeins de Napoléon Buonaparte, et à diriger à cet effet tous leurs efforts contre lui et ses partifans, afin de le mettre hors d'état de troubler à l'avenir la tranquillité de l'Europe et la paix générale, S. A. R. le Grand-Duc de Bade accède à cette alliance et s'en. gage folemnellement à réunir les moyens de fes états à ceux de S. M. I. et R. A. et des fouverains fes alliés, afin de diriger ainfi de concert et de commun accord leurs efforts vers le même but.

ART. II. En conféquence de cette acceffion S. A. R, Secours le Grand-Duc de Bade s'engage de fon côté à tenir en campagne un corps de feixe mille hommes de toute arme, lequel fera partie de la grande armée qui fe forme fur le haut-Rhin fous les ordres du Feldmaréchal Prince de Schwarzenberg. Les troupes de S. A. R. resteront réųnies en un feul corps, et feront fous les ordres immédiate d'un général nommé par S. A. R.

Le Landfturm fera formé felon l'exigence du cas, et n'entrera point dans le calcul fait dans le préfent article, et ne fervira que dans l'intérieur du pays pour la défense de fes propres foyers.:

ART. IV. Lorsque le but de la préfente guerre fera Paix atteint, S. M. I. et R. A. s'engage de concert avec fes alliés d'admettre S. A. R. le Grand-Duc à concourir aux arrangemens de la paix future, en tant qu'ils concerne ront fes intérêts.

ART. V. Tout ce qui eft relatif aux fubfiftances, Fourni fournitures, transports, hôpitaux, et à tous les autres tures. objets néceffaires pour appuyer et faciliter les mouvemens des troupes et les opérations de la guerre, fera réglé par une convention particulière.

In the Name of the Moft Holy and Indivifible Trinity.

His Majefty the King of the United Kingdom of Great

Britain and Ireland on the one fide, and, on the other fide, His Royal Highnefs the Grand Duke of Heffe, animated with the defire of uniting their efforts to fecure the tranquillity of Europe against every attempt by which, under prefent circumftances, it may be threatened; and His Royal Highness the Grand Duke having refolved to this effect, and in confequence of the invitation which has been made to Him by Their Majefties the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Emperor of Auftria, the Emperor of all the Ruffias, and His Majefty the King of Pruffia, to accede to the Alliance which these four Powers concluded the 25th March laft,

Who, after exchanging their full powers, found in good and due form, have agreed upon the following Articles:

ART. I. His Majefty the King of the United King. Acoes dom of Great Britain and Ireland having engaged, conjointly with Their Majefties the Emperor of Auftria, the Emperor of all the Ruffias, and His Majefty the King of Pruffia, to unite the means of Their States to maintain in all their integrity the ftipulations of the Treaty concluded at Paris the 30th of May 1814, as well as thofe which fhall be agreed upon and figned at the Congress of Vienna, in the view of completing the dispofitions of this Treaty, and to fecure them against every attempt, and particularly against the defigns of Napoleon Buonaparte, and to direct to that effect all their efforts against him and his partizans, in order to put it out of his power in future to disturb the tranquillity of Europe, and the general peace; His Royal Highnefs the Grand Duke of Heffe accedes to this Alliance, and engages folemnly to unite all the means of His States to those of His Britannick Majefty, and of the Sovereigns His Allies, in order thus to direct, in concert and with common accord, all Their efforts towards the fame object.

ART. II. In confequence of this Acceffion His Royal Forces. Highness the Grand Duke of Heffe engages, on His part, à entre to bring into the field and keep up to their full efta. tenir. blishment, a corps, of eight thoufand men of all arms, which fhall form a part of the Grand Army which is affembling on the Upper Rhine under the command of Field Marshal the Prince of Schwartzenberg.

troops of His Royal Highness fhall form and remain one Corps, and be placed under the immediate command of General to be appointed by His Royal Highness.

The Landfturm fhall be embodied according to the exigency of the cafe, and fhall not enter into the calculation made in the prefent Article, and shall only serve within the country and for the defence of the interior.

His own name, as in that of their Majefties the Emperor of Auftria, the Emperor of all the Ruffias, and the King of Pruffia, not to lay down their arms without particular regard to the interefts of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Heffe, and not to allow any violation of the political existence of the Grand Duchy.

ART. IV. When the object of the prefent war fhall gemens be attained, His Majefty the King of the United Kingfuturs, dom of Great Britain and Ireland engages, in concert with His Allies, to admit His Royal Highness the Grand Duke to take a part, in as much as His interests are concerned, in the arrangements of the future Peace.
