acting in the name and on the behalf of His Hajesty the King of Great Britain and Ițeland, being desirous, as far as may be in His power, to assist the King of Sardinia, in order to enable His Majesty to make the exertions to carry into 'execution His engagements, has pamed the Duke of Wellington, etc, etc.; and His Majesty the King of Sardinia has named the Count St. Martin d'Aglie, in order to discuss and fettle the termis on which the said aslistance shall be given, who, having communicated to each other their respective full powers, have agreed to the following Articles:

ART. I. His Britannick Majesty engages to pay to His Majesty the King of Sardinia a Sablidy of Eleven Pounds Two Shillings Sterling per man, for the service of the year ending on the first of April 1816, to the number of 15,000 men. This Subsidy shall be paid in London at the end of each month, by monthly ioftalments, to the person duly authorized to receive tbe same on the part of His Sardinian Majesty, and the first payment is to be made upon the exchange of the rati. fications of the present Treaty lo case peace should be signed between the Allied Powers and France before,

ART. III. His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the Name and on the Behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, shall commisfion an Officer to the Head Quarters of His Sardinian Majefty, in order to repport the military operations, and this Officer shall be permitted to ascertain that the contingent of His Majesty is kept complete.

ART.

Non Altele Royale le Grand-Duc de Baden étant par un traité signé à Vienne le 13 May accédé au traité d'alliance générale signé à la même place le 25 Mars dernier par les plénipotentiaires de la Grande - Brétagne, d'Autriche, de Rusie et de Prulle et s'étant engagée à mettre en campagne un contingent de 16,000 hommes dont un dixième de cavalerie avec l'artillerie en proportion; et S. A. R. le Prince Régent au nom et de la part de S. M. le Roi de la Grande - Brétagne et d'Ir. landé désirant autant qu'il est en Son pouvoir d'allifter Son Altesse Royale le Grand - Duc de Bade afin de mettre S. A. R. en état de faire les efforts nécessaires pour mettre en exécution fes engagemens', a nommé le Duc de Wellington etc. etc. et S. A. R. le Grand-Duc de Bade a nommé le Major - Général Baron de Franken afin de discuter et d'arrêter le mode dans lequel la dite a listance jera fournie : lesquels après s'être communiqué leurs plein. pouvoirs respectifs ont arrêté les articles suivans ::
