Grand-Duc de Baden, et le premier payement en fera 1815 fait lors de l'échange des ratifications du présent traité.

Dans le cas où la paix aurait lieu ou ferait fignée entre les Puiffances alliées et la France avant l'expiration de la dite année, le fubfide sera payé jusqu'à la fin du mois dans lequel le traité définitif aura été figné, et Sa Majefté Britannique promet en outre de payer à Son Alteffe Royale le Grand-Duc de Bade le fubfide d'un mois, pour couvrir les dépenses du retour de fes troupes dans fes propres états.

ART. II. Le Miniftre de S. A. R. le Grand-Duc Trans de Bade à Londres fe concertera avec les Officiers qui des feront nommés de la part de Sa Majesté Britannique fur fonds. le mode le plus convenable pour la transmiffion des fonds à l'ufage de S. A. R. le Grand-Duc de Bade.

ART. III. Son Alteffe Royale le Prince Régent au Officier nom et de la part de S. M. le Roi de la Grande- Bré, au quar tier gé tagne enverra un officier au quartier général de S. A. neral. R. le Grand-Duc de Bade afin de rapporter fur les opérations militaires, et cet officier aura le droit de s'allurer que le contingent de S. A. R. eft tenu au complet.

Treaty of fubfidy between Great Britain and Wurtemberg, figned at Bruffels 6th. June 1815.

His Majefty the King of Wurtemberg having, by a

Treaty figned at Vienna on the 30th. of May 1815, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance, figned at the fame place on the 25th. of March laft, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Auftria, Ruffia and Prufia, and having engaged to employ in the field a contingent of 20,000 men, one-tenth of which fhall be cavalry, with artillery in proportion; and His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majefty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being defirous, as far as may be in his power, to affift the King of Wurtemberg, in order to enable His Majefty to make the exertions to carry into execution His engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington etc. etc.; and His Majefty the King of Wurtemberg has named General Hugel, in order to discuss and fettle the terms on which the faid affiftance fhall be given; who having communicated to each other their refpective full powers, have agreed to the following Articles:

ART. I. His Britannick Majefty engages to pay to His Majesty the King of Wurtemberg a fubfidy of 11 l. 2 f. per man, for the fervice of the year ending on the 1ft, of April 1816, to the number of 20,000 men': this fubfidy fhall be paind in London at the end of each month, by monthly inftalments, to the perfon duly authorised to receive the fame on the part of His Majesty the King of Wurtemberg, and the first payment

is to be made upon the exchange of the ratifications of 1815

this Treaty.

In cafe Peace fhould take place or be figned between the Allied Powers and France before the expiration of the faid year, the fubfidy fhall be paid up to the end of the month in which the definitive Treaty fhall have been figned, and His Britannick Majefty promifes, in addition, to pay to His Majefty the King of Wurtem berg, the fabfidy of one month, to cover the expenses of the return of His Majefty's troops within his own frontiers.

ART. II. The Minifter of His Majefty King of Wartemberg in London, fhall concert with the officers to be appointed by His Britannick Majefty, as to the mode moft convenient for the transmiffion of the money for the ufe of His Majefty the King of Wurtemberg.

ART. III. His Royal Highnefs the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majefty the King of Great Britain, and Ireland, fhall commis. fion an officer to the head-quarters of His Majefty the King of Wurtemberg, in order to report the military operations, and this officer fhall be permitted to ascertain that the contingent of His Majesty is kept complete.

ART. IV. This Treaty fhall be ratified, and the ratifications fhall be exchanged in London as foon as poffible.

In faith of which, the refpective Plenipotentiaries have figned it, and have affixed thereunto the feals of their arms.

Done at Bruffels this fixth day of June one thoufand eight hundred and fifteen.

Treaty of fubfidy between Great Britain and Bavaria, figned at Bruffels, 7th. June 1815.

His Majefty the King of Bavaria, having, by a Treaty

figned at Vienna on the 15th. April 1815, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance figned at the fame place on the 25th. March laft, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Auftria, Ruffia, and Pruffia, and having engaged to employ in the field a contingent of 60,000 men, one-tenth of which fhall be cavalry, with artil lery in proportion; and His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majefty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being defirous, as far as may be in His power, to affift the King of Bavaria, in order to enable His Majesty to make the exertions to carry into execution His engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, etc, etc.; and His Majefty the King of Bavaria has named Colopel Washington, in order to discufs and fettle the terms on which the faid affiftance fhall be given; who, having communicated their refpective full powers, have agreed to the following Articles;

ART. I. His Britannick Majefty engages to pay to His Majesty the King of Bavaria a Subfidy of 11 l. 2 f. per man, for the fervice of the year ending on the Ift. of April 1816, to the number of 60,000 men; this Subfidy fhall be paid in London at the end of each month by monthly instalments, to the perfon duly authorised to receive the fame on the part of His Bavarian Majefty, and the firft payment is to be made upon the exchange of the ratifications of this Treaty.
