Treaty of fubfidy between Great Britain and An-
halt Deffau, Anhalt - Bernbourg, and Anhalt-
-
Coethen, figned at Paris, July 10, 1815.

Their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt - Deffau,

Anhalt-Bernbourg and Anhalt - Coethen, having, by a Treaty figned at Vienna on the 13th. of May, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance figned at the fame place on the 25th. March last, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Auftria, Ruffia and Pruffia, and having engaged to employ in the field a contingent of fixteen hundred men; viz. His ferene Highness the Duke of Anhalt- Defau, as well in his own name as in that of the Duke of Anhalt-Coethen, his ward, the number of eleven hundred and twenty men; and His ferene Highness the Duke of Anhalt-Bernbourg, a battalion of four hundred and eighty men; and His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majefty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being defirous, as far as may be in His power, to affift the Dukes of Anhalt, in order to enable their ferene Highneffes to make the exertions to carry into execution their engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, etc. etc.; and their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt Deffau and Coethen have named the Colonel Wielandt etc., in the fervice of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Ba den; and His ferene Highnefs the Duke of Anhalt-Bernbourg, his Chamberlain de Seelhorft etc., in order to discufs and fettle the terms on which the faid affistance fhall be given, who, having communicated to each

other

other their respective full powers, have agreed to the 1815. following Articles:

ART. I. His Britannick Majefty engages to pay to their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt a fubfidy of eleven pounds two fhillings per man, for the fervice of the year ending on the first day of April 1816, to the number of fixteen hundred men. This fubfidy fhall be paind in London at the end of each month, by monthly inftalments, to the perfon duly authorised to receive the fame on the part of their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt, and the first payment is to be made upon the exchange of the ratifications of this Treaty.

In cafe Peace fhould take place or be figned between the Allied Powers and France, before the expiration of the faid year, the fubfidy fhall be paid up to the end of the month in which the Definitive Treaty fhall have been figned; and His Britannick Majefty promifes, in addition, to pay to their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt, the fubfidy of one month, to cover the expenfes of the return of their troops within their own frontiers.

ART. II. The Minifter of their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt, in London, fhall concert with the officers appointed by His Britannick Majefty, as to the mode moft convenient for the transmiffion of the money for the ufe of their ferene Highneffes the Dukes of Anhalt.

ART. III. The prefent Treaty, made in duplicate, one copy to be fent to his ferene Highness the Duke of Anhalt- Deffau, and the other to his ferene Highness the Duke of Anhalt-Bernbourg, fhall be ratified, and the ratifications fhall be exchanged in London as foon as poffible.

In faith of which the refpective Plenipotentiaries have figned it, and have affixed thereunto the feals of

their arms.

Done at Paris this tenth day of July, one thou. fand eight hundred and fifteen.

Treaty of fubfidy between Great Britain and Saxony, figned at Paris, July 14, 1815.

His Majefty the King of Saxony having, by a Treaty

figned at Vienna on the 27th. May, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance figned at the fame place on the 25th. March laft, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Auftria, Ruffia and Pruffia, and having engaged to employ in the field a contingent of 8,000 men, one-tenth of which fhall be cavalry, with artillery in proportion; and His Royal Highnefs the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majefty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being defirous, as far as may be in His power, to affift the King of Saxony, in order to enable His Majefty to make exertions to carry into execution His engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, etc. etc.; and His Majesty the King of Saxony has named General de Funck, in order to discuss and fettle the terms on which the said affistance shall be given, who, having communicated to each other their refpective full powers, have agreed to the following Articles :

ART. I. His Britannick Majefty engages to pay to His Majesty the King of Saxony a fubfidy of 22 1. 2. f. per man, for the fervice of the year ending on the ift. April 1816, to the number of 8.000 men. This fubfidy fhall be paid in London, at the end of each month, by monthly instalments, to the perfon duly authorised to receive the fame on the part of His Majefty the King of Saxony, and the first payment is to be made upon the exchange of the ratifications of this Treaty.

In cafe Peace fhould, take place or be figned bet. 1815 ween the Allied Powers and France, before the expiration of the faid year, the fubfidy fhall be paid up to the end of the month in which the Definitive Treaty fhall have been figned; and His Britannick Majefty promifes, in addition, to pay to His Majefty the King of Saxony the fubfidy of one month, to cover the expenfes of the return of his troops within his own frontiers.

ART. II. The Minifter of His Majefty the King of Saxony in London, fhall concert with the Officers to be appointed by His Britannick Majefty, as to the mode moft convenient for the transmiflion of the money for the ufe of His Majefty the King of Saxony.

ART. III. His Royal Highnefs the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, shall commiffion an Officer to the head-quarters of His Majefty the King of Saxony, in order to report the military operations, and this Officer fhall be permitted to ascertain that the contingent of His Majesty the King of Saxony is kept complete.

ART. IV. This Treaty fhall be ratified, and the ratifications fhall be exchanged in London as foon as poffible.

In faith of which the refpective Plenipotentiaries have figned it, and have affixed thereunto the feal of their arms.

Done at Paris this fourteenth day of July, one thou fand eight-hundred and fifteen.

Treaty between Great Britain and Denmark, figned at Paris 14th. July 1815.

His Majefty the King of Denmark having engaged to

employ a force amounting to 15,000 men, infantry, cavalry, and artillery, in fupport of the common caufe in the exifting war; His Royal Highnefs the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majefty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being defirous, as far as may be in His power, to affift the King of Denmark, in order to enable His Majefty to make exertions to carry into execution His engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, etc.; and His Majesty the King of Denmark has named General Baron de Waltersdorff, in order to discufs and fettle the terms on which the faid affiftance fhall be given; who, having communicated to each other their refpective full powers, have agreed to the following Articles:

ART. I. His Britannick Majefty engages to pay to His Majefty the King of Denmark a Subfidy of 11 l. 2 f. per man, for the fervice of the year ending on the laft of April 1816, to the number of 15,000 men: this Subfidy fhall be paid in London at the end of each month, by monthly inftalments, to the perfon duly authorised to receive the fame on the part of His Majefty the King of Denmark, and the first payment is to be made upon the exchange of the ratifications of this Treaty,

In cafe Peace should take place or be figned between the Allied Powers and France before the expiration of the faid year, the Subfidy fhall be paid up to the end of the month in which the Definitive Treaty fhall have been figned; and His Britannick Majefty promises, in addition, to pay to His Majesty the King of Denmark the Subfidy
