10 And the task-mafters of the people went out, and their officers, and they (pake to the people, faying, Thus faith Pharaoh, I will not give you ftraw.

11 Go ye, get you ftraw where you can find it: yet not ought of your work fhall be diminished.

12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt,to gather ftubble instead of ftraw.

13 And the task-mafters hafted them, faying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was ftraw.

14 And the officers of the children of Ifrael, which Pharaohs task-mafters had fet over them, were beaten, and demand. ed, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick, both yesterday, and to day, as heretofore?

15 Then the officers of the children of Ifrael came and cried unto Pharaoh, faying, Wherefore dealeft thou thuwith thy fervants?

16 There is no Araw given unto thy fervants, and they fay to us, Make brick: and behold, thy fervants are beaten, but the fault is in thine own people.

17 But he said, Ye are idle, ye are ille: therefore ye fay, Let us go, and do facrifice to the LORD.

18 Go, therefore now and work: for there fhall no ftraw be given you,yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

19 And the officers of the children of Ifrael did fee that they were in evil cafe after it was faid, Ye fhall not minifh ought from your bricks of your daily task.

20 And they met Mofes and Aaron, who ftood in the way as they came forth from Pharaoh.

21 And they faid unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge, because you have made our favour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his fervants, to put a fword in their hands to flay us.

22 And Mofes returned unto the LORD, and faid, Lord, Wherefore haft thou fo evil intreated this people? why is it that thou haft fent me?

23 For fince I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name,he hath done evil to this people, neither haft thou delivered thy people at all.

CHAP. VI.

3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Ifaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty,but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

4 And I have alfo eftablished my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were ftrangers.

s And I have alfo heard the groaning of the children of Ifrael, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage: and I have remembred my covenant.

6 Wherefore fay unto the children of Ifrael, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians,and I will rid you out of their bondage: and I will redeem you with a ftretchedout arm, and with great judgment.

7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye fhall know that I am the LORD your God which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

8 And I will bring you in unto the land concerning the which I did fwear to give it, to Abraham, to Ifaac, and to Jacob and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

9 And Mofes fpake fo unto the children of Ifrael: but they hearkned not unto Mofes for anguish of spirit,and for cruel bondage.

10 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

II Go in, fpeak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Ifrael go out of his land.

12 And Mofes fpake before the LORD, faying, Behold, the children of Ifrael have not hearkned unto me, how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcifed lips?

13 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Ifrael, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; to bring the children of Ifrael out of the land of Egypt.

14 Thefe be the heads of their fathers houfes: The fons of Reuben the firft-born of Ifrael, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: thefe be the families of Reuben.

15 And the fons of Simeon, Jemuel,and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the fon of a Canaanitish wo man: thefe are the families of Simeon.

16 And these are the names of the Hen the LORD faid unto Mofes, Now fons of Levi, according to their generafhalt thou fee what I will do to Pha- tions; Gerthon and Kohath, and Mefor with a ftrong hand shall he let rari: and the years of the life of Levi,

18 And the fons of Kohath, Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: And the years of the life of Kohath, were an hundred thirty and three years.

19 And the fons of Merari, Mahali, and Muthi: thefe are the families of Levi, according to their generations.

20 And Amram took him Jochebed his fathers fifter to wife, and the bare him Aaron and Mofes : and the years of the life of Amram, were an hundred and thirty and feven years.

21 And the fons of Izhar, Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.

22 And the fons of Uzziel, Mihael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.

23 And Aaron took him Elibeba daughter of Amminadab, fifter of Naafhon to wife; and the bare him Nadab and Abiu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

24 And the fons of Korah, Affir, and Ekanah, and Abiafaph: thefe are the faTiles of the Korhites.

25 And Eleazar Aarons fon took him ste of the daughters of Putiel to wife, and he bare him Phinehas: thefe are the heads of the fathers of the Levites, according to their families.

36 Thefe are that Aaron and Mofes, to whom the LORD faid, Bring out the children of Ifrael from the land of Egypt, acgarding to their armies.

There are they which fpake to Pharach king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Ifrael from Egypt: thefe are that Mofes and Aaron.

28 And it came to pafs on the day the LORD pake unto Mofes in the land of Egypt,

29 That the LORD fpake unto Mofes,fayig, 1am the LORD: fpeak thou unto PhaTaking of Egypt all that I fay unto thee. 30 And Mofes faid before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcifed lips, and bowhall Pharaoh hearken unto me? CHAP. VII.

Nd the LORD faid unto Mofes, See,

oh: and Aaron thy brother fhall be thy papher.

Thou fhalt fpeak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother fhall fpeak Pharaoh, that he fend the children of Ifrael out of his land.

And I will harden Pharaohs heart, and multiply my figns and my wonders in the And of Egypt.

4 But Pharaoh fhall not hearken unto that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, nd bring forth mine armies, and my peo

6 And Mofes and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, fo did they.

7 And Mofes was fourfcore years old,. and Aaron fourfcore and three years old. when they fpake unto Pharaoh.

8 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes and unto Aaron, faying,

9 When Pharaoh fhall fpeak unto you,'. faying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou fhalt fay unto Aaron,Take thy rod and cafe it before Pharaoh, and it fhall become a ferpent.

1o And Mofes and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did fo as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron caft down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his fervants, and it became a ferpent.

I Then Pharaoh alfo called the wifemen and the forcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they alfo did in like manner with their inchantments.

12 For they caft down every man his rod, and they became ferpents: but Aarons rod fwallowed up their rods.

13 And he hardned Pharaohs heart,that he hearkned not unto them, as the LORD had faid.

14 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Pharaohs heart is hardned, he refufeth to let the people go.

17 Thus faith the LORD, In this thou fhalt know that I am the LORD: behold,. I will fmite with the rod that is in mine hand, upon the waters which are in the

19 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and ftretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their ftreams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon ak their pools of water, that they may be come blood, and that there may be f throughout all the land of Egypt

21 And the fish that was in the river died and the river ftunk, and the Egyptions could not drink of the water of the river: and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

22 And the magicians of Egypt did fo with their inchantments: and Pharaohs heart was hardned, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had faid.

23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his houfe, neither did he fet his heart to this alfo.

24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink: for they could not drink of the water of the river.

10 And he laid,To morrow. And he f Be it according to thy word: that t mayeft know, that there is none like u the LORD our God.

II And the frogs fhall depart from th and from thy houfes, and from thy vants, and from thy people, they fhall main in the river only.

12 And Mofes and Aaron went out fr Pharaoh : and Mofes cried unto the Lo becaufe of the frogs which he had brou againft Pharaoh.

13 And the LORD did according to word of Mofes: and the frogs died ou the houfes, out of the villages, and ou the fields.

14 And they gathered them toget upon heaps: and the land ftank.

15 But when Pharaoh faw that the was refpite, he hardned his heart, a hearkned not unto them; as the Lo had faid.

16 And the LORD faid unto Mo Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, a fmite the duft of the land, that it may

2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold,I will finite all thy borders with frogs. 3 And the river thail bring forth frogs abundantly, which hall go up and come into thine houfe, and into thy bed-chamber, and upon thy bed, and into the houfe of thy fervants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs.

4 And the frogs fhall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy fervants.

S And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the ftreams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and caufe frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.

6 And Aaron ftretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt. 7 And the magicians did fo with their inchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.

8 Then Pharaoh called for Mofes and Aaron, and faid, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people: and I will let the people go, that they may do facrifice unto the LORD.

17 And they did fo, for Aaron ftret ed out his hand with his rod, and sm the duft of the earth, and it became li in man and inebeaft: all the duft of land became lice throughout all the la of Egypt.

18 And the magicians did fo with th inchantments to bring forth lice, but th could not: fo there were lice upon m and upon beaft

19Then the magicians faid unto Phara This is the finger of God: and Phara heart was hard ned, and he hearkned unto them, as the LORD had faid.

20 And the LORD faid unto Mo Rife up early in the moming, and fta before Pharaoh, (lo, he cometh forth the water) and fay unto him, Thus fa the LORD, Let my people go, that th may ferve me.

21 Elfe if thou wilt not let my peop go, behold, I will fend fwarms of flies on thee, and upon thy fervants, and up thy people, and into thy houfes: and houfes of the Egyptians fhall be full fwarms of flies, and also the ground whe on they are.

22 And I will fever in that day the la of Gothen, in which my people dwe that no fvarms of flies thall be there, the end thou mayeft know, that I am LORD in the midft of the earth.

23 And I will put a divifion betwe my people and thy people: to morro fhall this fign be.

9 And Mofes faid unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when hall I intreat for thee,and for thy fervants, and for thy people to deftroy the frogs from thee, and thy houses, 24 And the LORD did fo: and the they may remain in the river only ? came a grievous warm of flies into
