He word of the LORD came again unto me, faying,

2 Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother.

3 And they committed whoredoms in Egypt, they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts preffed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.

4 And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her fifter: and they were mine, and they bare fons and daughters: thus were their names, Samaria is Aholah, and Jerufalem Aholibah.

s And Aholah played the harlot when the was mine, and the doted on her lovers, on the Affyrians her neighbours,

6 Which were cloathed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them defirable young men, horfemen riding upon horfes.

7 Thus the committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chofen men of Affyria, and with all on whom the doted, with all their idols the defiled her felf.

8 Neither left the her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breafts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.

9 Wherefore I have delivered her into the band of her lovers, into the hand of the Affyrians, upon whom the doted.

10 Thefe difcovered her nakedness, they took her fons and her daughters, and flew her with the fword: and the became famous among women, for they had executed judgment upon her.

11 And when her fifter Aholibah Law this, he was more corrupt in her inordinate love than the, and in her whoredoms more than her fifter in her whoredoms.

12 She doted upon the Affyrians ber neighbours, captains and rulers cloathed moft gorgeously, horfemen riding upon horfes, all of them defirable young men.

13 Then I faw that he was defiled, that they took both one way,

14 And that the increafed her whoredoms: for when the faw men pourtrayed upon the wall, the images of the Che deans pourtrayed with vermilion,

all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:

16 And as foon as the faw them with her eyes, the doted upon them, and fent mef fengers unto them into Chaldea.

17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and he was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.

18 So the difcovered her whoredoms, and difcovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as my mind was alienated from her fifter.

19 Yet the multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein the had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

20 For the doted upon their paramours, whofe flesh is as the flesh of affes, and whofe fues is like the iffue of horfes.

21 Thus thou calledft to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruifing thy teats, by the Egyptians, for the paps of thy youth.

22 Therefore, O Aholibah, thus faith the Lord GoD, Behold, I will raife up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every fide;

23 The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa and Koa, and all the Affyrians with them: all of them defirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horfes.

24 And they fhall come against thee with chariots, wagons and wheels, and with an affembly of people, which hall fet against thee buckler and fhield, and helmet sound about: and I will fet judgment be fore them, and they fhall judge thee according to their judgments.

as And I will fet my jealouse against thee, and they fhall deal furioufly with thee: they hall take away thy nofe, and thine ears, and thy remnant fhall fall by the fword: they fhall take thy fons and thy daughters, and thy refidue fhall be devoured by the fire.

26 They fhall alfo ftrip thee out of thy loaths, and take away thy fair jewels. 27 Thus will I make thy lewdness to ceafe from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: fo that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

fully, and fhall take away all thy labour, and fhall leave thee naked and bare, and the nakedness of thy whoredoms fhall be difcovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

30 I will do thefe things unto thee, be caufe thou haft gone a whoring after the heathen, and becaufe thou art polluted with their idols.

31 Thou haft walked in the way of thy fifter, therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.

32 Thus faith the Lord GOD, Thou shalt drink of thy fifters cup deep and large: thou fhalt be laughed to fcorn, and had in derifion; it containeth much.

33 Thou shalt be filled with drunken. nefs and forrow, with the cup of aftonifi ment and defolation, with the cup of thy fifter Samaria.

34 Thou shalt even drink it and fuck it our, and thou fhalt break the herds there of, and pluck off thine own breafts: for! have fpoken it, faith the Lord God.

35 Therefore thus faith the Lord GoD because thou haft forgotten me, and caf me behind thy back, therefore bear tho alfo thy lewdness, and thy whoredoms.

36 The LORD faid moreover unto me Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them ther abominations,

37 That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have alfo caufed their fons whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire to devour them.

38 Moreover, this they have done unte me: they have defiled my fanctuary in the fame day, and have profaned my fabbaths.

39 For when they had flain their chil dren to their idols, then they came the fame day into my fanctuary to profane it; and lo, thus have they done in the midf of mine houfe.

40 And furthermore, that ye have fent for men to come from far, unto whom a mel fenger was fent, and lo,they came for whom thou didft wash thy felf, paintedft thy eyes, and deckedft thy felf with ornaments,

41 And fatteft upon a ftately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou haft fet mine incenfe and mine oyl.

42 And a voice of a multitude being at eafe was with her, and with the men of the common fort were brought Sabears from the wilderness, which put braceles upon their hands, and beautiful crowns

28 For thus faith the Lord GOD, Behold, will deliver thee into the hand of them upon their heads. thou hateft, into the hand of them hom thy mind is alienated. nd. they hall deal with thee hate

43 Then faid I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and the with them ?

45 And the righteous men they fhall judge them after the manner of adultereffes, and after the manner of women that hed blood; because they are adultereffes, and blood is in their hands.

46 For thus faith the Lord GOD, I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and fpoiled.

47 And the company fhall ftone them with ftones, and difpatch them with their fwords, they fhall flay their fons and their daughters, and burn up their houfes with fire.

48 Thus will I caufe lewdness to ceafe out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness."

6 Wherefore thus faith the Lord GOD, Wo to the bloody city, to the pot whofe fcum is therein, and whofe fcum is not gone out of it, bring it out piece by piece, let no lot fall upon it.

7 For her blood is in the midft of her, the fet it upon the top of a rock, the poured it not upon the ground to cover it with duft: 8 That it might caufe fury to come up to take vengeance: I have fet her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
