WHY shouldst thou boast, o thou shameless man of thy wickedness ? 2 Thy tongue is daily devising mischief; like a razor that is sharpened, executing slaughter. 3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and falsehood more than sincerity. 4 Thou lovest all who meditate destructive purposes; o thou deceitful tongue! 5 Therefore, GOD will utterly destroy thee: he will make thee afraid, and tear thee thee from thy dwelling; and extirpate thee from the land of the living. 6 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice; and shall laugh thee to scorn. 7 "Behold," will they say, "the man who made not GOD his strength; but, trusting in the abundance of his riches, confirmed himself in his wickedness." 8 'But, as for me, I shall be, in the house of GOD, like a flourishing olive tree : for I 'will ever trust in the goodness of GOD.
