Reader, will early make himself familiar with the notation and instructions which are contained in the Manual, both for his own convenience in teaching from the former, and for the greater improvement of his young pupils. After the Manual shall have been introduced into our schools, and used for a season, this familiarity will be obtained of course, and there will be no occasion to repeat the hope which has now been expressed.
