Sida 84 - Culture is activity of thought, and receptiveness to beauty and humane feeling. Scraps of information have nothing to do with it. A merely well-informed man is the most useless bore on God's earth.
Sida 4 - The heavens declare the glory of God: And the firmament showeth His handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech: And night unto night showeth knowledge.
Sida 4 - Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, 0 Lord, my Strength, and my Redeemer.
Sida 4 - The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul : the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart : the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Sida 4 - In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
Sida 198 - Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.
Sida 72 - And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
Sida 73 - ... library for influencing the thinking and feeling of the adolescent and with the hope of stimulating new courses of action.
Sida 81 - No Person younger than 20 years ( save if he be a Student, of more than 18 years, and vouched by his Tutor) is on any pretext to enter the Library. Be suspicious of Women. They are given to the Reading of frivolous Romances, and at all events, their presence in a Library adds little to ( if it does not, indeed, detract from) that aspect of Gravity, Seriousness and Learning which is its greatest Glory.
