Senator Thompson introduced Senate bill No. 105, entitled An act to authorize the Secretary of State to sell stationery to members of the General Assembly; read first time.

Senator Edwards of St. Charles, from the Committee on Engrossed Bills, submitted the following report:

Senator Laken an introduced Senate bill No. 110, entitled An act to authorize an allowance of a reasonable attorney's fee in favor of any person who may recover judgment, either as plaintiff or defendant, in suits by or against corporations; read first time.

Senator Burkeholder introduced Senate bill No. 111, entitled An act to authorize boards of education to submit to the voters of their respective school districts and cities and towns forming such districts, propositions to increase the annual rate of taxation for school purposes and for erecting school buildings; read first time.

Senator Burkeholder offered a resolution calling on the AttorneyGeneral for information in reference to the purchase money of the Southwest Pacific Railroad, sold to parties named in act approved March, 1868; read first and second time and adopted.
