APPENDIX (L.)

PROCEEDINGS OF THE ROYAL SCOTTISH SOCIETY OF ARTS, SESSION 1866-67.

The Annual General Meeting of the Royal Scottish Society of Arts was held in their Hall, 117 George Street, on Monday, 26th November 1866, at eight o'clock P.M Frederick Hallard, Esq., President, in the Chair.

1. The President gave an Address, for which, on the motion of Dr Stevenson Macadam, seconded by the Secretary, thanks were unanimously voted; and he was requested. to allow it to be printed among the Transactions, to which he agreed. (See Address, printed in the Transactions, Vol. VII. Part II. p. 215.)

2. The Report of the Prize Committee, awarding the Prizes for Session 1865-66, was read, and the Prizes were delivered by the President to the successful candidates.

The Models and Drawings of Inventions, &c., for which Prizes had been awarded, were exhibited.

The following Donations were laid on the table, and thanks returned to the Donors:

VI. A Recommendation by the Council, as to a Conversazione in the Edinburgh Museum of Science and Art, was read; and on the motion of Dr Stevenson Macadam, seconded by Mr R. W. Thomson, it was agreed that the Society should avail themselves of the offer of the use of the Museum for one evening for a Conversazione; and it was remitted to the Council, with full power, to fix the evening, and make all requisite arrangements.
