BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners: nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the | Lord and in His law doth He | medi tate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season: his leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he | doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly | are not so: but are like the chaff which the | wind | driveth a--way.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stånd | in the | judgment: nor sinners in the cóngre- |-gation | of the | righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way | of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

PSALM VIII.

LORD our Lord how excellent is Thy náme in | all the earth: who hast sét Thy glory a--bove the heavens.

2 Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings hast Thou ordained strength because of Thine | enemies that Thou mightest still the enemy | and · the a--venger.

3 When I consider Thy heavens the work of Thy | fingers : the moon and the stárs which Thou hast or- | -dained;

4 What is man, that Thou art | mindful of him : and the son of mán | that Thou visit est him?

5 For Thou hast made him a little lower | than the | angels: and hast crowned | him with glory and honour.

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of Thy | hands: Thou hast pút all things | under his | feet:

7 Áll | sheep and | oxen : yéa and the beasts of the field;

8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

PSALM XIX.

THE

heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth⚫ His handy--work.

2 Day unto dáy utter eth i speech: and níght unto night | sheweth I knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language: where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world in them hath He sét a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom cóming out of his chamber and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven and his circuit únto the ends of it and there is nothing híd | from the heat there--of.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect con-1-verting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure making | wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the Lord are right re-l-joicing the heart: the command. ment of the Lord is pure, en-1-lightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean en-1-during for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and | righteous | alto-l-gether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold yea than | much fine | gold: sweeter also than honey and the honey-l-comb.

11 Moreover by them is Thy I servant | warned: and in keeping of them I there is great re-l-ward.

12 Who can únder- |-stand his errors: cleanse Thou I me from I secret | faults. 13 Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sinslet them not have domínion over me: then shall I be upright and I shall be innocent from the great trans--gression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight: O Lord my strength and my re- |-deemer.

PSALM XXIII.

THE Lord is my shepherd: I shall not I want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in | green pastures: He leadeth mé be- | -side the still waters.

3 Hé re--storeth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will | fear no evil: for Thou art with me Thy ród and Thy I staff, they | com

fort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the présence of mine I enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil my cup runneth | over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

PSALM XXIV.

THE earth is the Lord's and the I fulness. there--of: the world, and | they

that dwell there- |-in.

2 For He hath founded it up- -on the seas and established it up- |-on the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the holy place?

PSALM XXV.

| Thee O Lord: dó I lift up my soul.

2 O my God, I trust in Thee let me not I be a- -shamed: let not mine énemies triumph over me.

3 Yea, let none that wait on Thée be a- -shamed: let them be ashamed * whích trans--gress with- |-out cause.

4 Shéw me Thy ways O Lord: téach |

me Thy I paths.

5 Lead me in Thy truth and teach me : for Thou art the God of my salvation on Thée do I wait | all the day.

6 Remember, O Lord, Thy tender mercies and Thy | loving- |-kindnesses: for they have been ever. of old.

7 Remember not the sins of my youth nor my trans--gressions according to Thy mercy remember Thou me fór Thy goodness' sake O | Lord. 8 Good and úpright is the Lord: therefore will He téach | sinners in the way.

9 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and I truth unto such as keep His covenant and His | testimonies.

10 What man is hé that I feareth the Lord: him shall He téach in the way that He shall choose.
