Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George county, for 1845 & '48, Durham Parish, Charles county, St. John's Parish, Prince George county, St. John's Church, Montgomery county, $234 06 14 00 13 00 5 00 4 00 6 00 12 00 Report of the Executive Committee of Missions. The Executive Committee of Missions would respectfully report to the Convention, that their sphere of operations since their report to the Con vention of 1847, has been somewhat enlarged, though by no means so much so as to include all those places in the diocese where the services of the Church, and the preaching of the Gospel are required, and sought for by those who are unable to support a Rector. The ministers who are now receiving pecuniary aid from the funds under the control of the Committee of Missions, are the Rev. James Moore, at Ellicott's Mills, the Rev. Mr. Barber, at Laurel Factory, and the Rev. James Cole Tracey, at Mount Savage, Allegany. The number of Missionaries might be much increased, if the funds at the disposal of the committee were adequate to defray the expense of such additional number as might be most usefully employed in destitute places; and the committee would suggest as a question for the most serious consideration of all zealous laymen of the Church in this diocese, whether they have not overlooked the duty which certainly presses upon them with strong obligations of furnishing to the Church the means of giving vigorous action to this most important department of her operations for the diffusion of a knowledge of her principles and formularies, and for the spreading of the Gospel; and would further suggest to the clergy, whether they might not in some proper way and suitable limit, bring the wants of our Missionary institutions to the notice and consideration of their parishioners and congregations, so as to procure for them a more liberal and steady pecuniary support. All which is respectfully submitted. The Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in Maryland, in account with Wm. G. KREBS, Treasurer. May 26 To cash paid Rev. E. M.
