by S. W. Partridge & Co., 9, Paternoster Row. Many will be glad to know of the re-issue of this valuable little book. Its pages are full of freshness, and the truths of which it treats are put most pointedly. The following subjects are dealt with in short sections. I. The Believer's Heavenly Standing (see extract, page 192). II. The Believer's Heavenly Calling. III. The Believer's Earthly Condition. B. A. R.

A POPULAR COMMENTARY ON THE NEW TESTAMENT. By
English and American Scholars of various Evangelical
Denominations. Edited by Philip Schaff, D.D. In
Four Volumes.
Vol. 3.
Published by T. & T. Clarke,
Edinburgh. Price 18s.

Messrs. Clarke have sent us the Third Volume of their Popular New Testament Commentary, and we are glad to call our Readers' attention to so valuable and useful a work. It embraces the recognised Epistles of St. Paul, omitting that to the Hebrews, the Pauline origin of which is so doubtful. Eminent Scholars handle the various books; and the names of Doctors Schaff, Riddle, David Brown, J. R. Lumby, Dodds, Plumptree, and Oswald Dykes, are sufficient guarantee that the work is well done. The Notes are brief, and to the point; and a large amount of valuable information is brought together. Of course, we do not profess concurrence with every opinion expressed but those who wish a really useful Commentary, may well procure this one. It is beautifully printed in clear type, and contains a few well-executed illustrations. It deserves to be a success.

THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE. By the Rev. W. E. Boardman. Published by Morgan & Scott. Price 2s. 6d. This is a book which all who are interested in healing by faith should procure. It abounds with remarkable testimony on the subject. ORIGIN AND HISTORY OF THE NEW TESTAMENT. By James Martin, B.A. Published by Hodder & Stoughton. Price 2s. 6d.

A fourth and cheaper edition of a most useful book. It gives just the information on the New Testament that all the Members and Associates of our Union should possess. We hope that many will buy it.
