DEAR YOUNG FRIENDS, Ir is very encouraging to know that our little Magazine continues to be a great favourite with you. We shall try to make it a greater favourite still. We wish every number to be both instructive and pleasing, and then usefulness will follow. We do not wish to fill our pages with little tales and anecdotes, that might just create a smile for a moment, and yet do you no lasting good. Our aim is, to profit many; and to do this by shewing how much good Missions are doing among the heathen nations, and how much young people may do to assist those Missions. And let us recollect, that whenever we try to do good to others we are sure to be doing good to ourselves. To be benevolent is the way to be happy. If everybody were intent on making everybody else happy, what a smiling-faced world this would be! Scarcely a cross temper would be found, or a cross word heard, from "Indus to the poles!" Make it your motto through life, " To do good, is to get good."
