An act to repeal an act to amend section 7211 of chapter 125 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 1889, relating to peddlers and their license, approved April 1, 1895, and to enact a new section in lieu thereof, to be known as section 7211,

Came up for engrossment and on motion of Senator Dowell was laid over informally.

Senate bill No. 123, entitled

An act to amend an act entitled "Appropriations-schools, public-school book commission," approved March 31, 1897, by repealing sections 11 and 12 of said act,

Was called up for engrossment.

Committee amendment was offered as follows:

Amend Senate bill No. 123, in the title thereof by striking the letter "s" off the word "sections," where the same occurs, and by striking out the figures "11," where the same occurs in said title; also amend said bill by striking off the letter "s" in the word "sections," where the same occurs in the body of the bill, and by striking out the figures "11," where the same occurs in the body of said bill; and by striking out the word "are," in the third line of said bill, and insert in lieu thereof the word "is;"

Which was read first and second times and adopted.

Senator Farris offered amendment No. 2 to Senate bill No. 123, as follows:

Amendment No. 2:

Amend the title by striking out the word "and," in line 4; also striking out the word "and," in line 1 of the body of the bill; Which was read first and second times and adopted.

On motion of Senator Farris the bill was ordered engrossed and printed, as amended.

On motion of Senator Fields, the Senate went into executive session.

The executive session having dissolved the Senate reconvened. Senator Morton moved that when the Senate adjourn it do so until Monday at three o'clock p. m.
