30. IT is a good thing to give thanks | unto-the | Lord, And to sing praises unto thy | na-me, | OMost High: To show forth thy lovingkindness | in-the| morning, And thy faithful-ness | ev-ery | night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and up| on-the psaltery; Upon the harp-with a so-lemn | sound. I will triumph | in-the | works of-thy | hands. Neither doth a fo―ol | un-der | stand this. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when Art most high-for | ev-er | more. For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine | enemies-shall | perish; All the workers of iniquity | shall-be | scattered. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the | horn of— an unicorn: I shall be anointed-with | fresh | oil. Mine eye also shall see my desire | on-mine | enemies, And mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that | ri-se | up-against me. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; He shall grow-like a | cedar-in | Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the | Lord Shall flourish in-the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth | fruit in-old | age; They shall be | fat-and | flourishing; To show that the Lord-is | upright: He is my rock, and there is | no-un | righteousness in him. 31. O COME, let us sing | unto-the Lord; Let us make a joyful noise to the | rock-of our-salvation. Let us come before his presence with | tha—nks | giving, And make a joyful | noise-unto | him—with | psalms. For the Lord is a-great | God, And a great | King—a | bove—all | gods. In his hand are the deep places-of the earth; The strength of the hills-is | hi-s | also. The sea is his and-he | made it : And his hands formed-the | dr―y | land. For he is our God; And we are the people of his pasture, and the | sheep-of | his hand. To-day if ye will | hear his voice, As in the pro-vo | cation, And as in the day of tempt | a-tion | in—the | wilderness : When your fathers | tempt-ed | me, Proved me,-and | saw-my | work. Forty years long Was I grieved with] this-gene | ration,—and | said, It is a people that do | err in-their | heart, Unto whom I sware in-my | wrath, That they should not | en-ter | into-my | rest. E 32. LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in | all-generations. Before the mountains-were brought | forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the | earth-and the | world, Even from everlasting to ever | last-ing, thouart | God. Thou turnest man-to de | struction; And sayest, Re | turn,-ye children—of | men. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when-it is past, And as a watch-in the night. Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they | are as a sleep: In the morning they are like | grass-which | grow-eth up. In the morning it flourisheth, and | grow-eth | up; In the evening | it is-cut | down,—and | withereth. For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath-are we | troubled. Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret | sins-in the light of-thy | countenance. For all our days are passed away | in--thy | wrath : We spend our years-as a | tale that--is | told. The days of our years are threescore | years— and [ten; And if by reason of strength-they be fourscore years, Yet is their strength | labour-and | sorrow; For it is soon cut | off,—and we | fly—a | way. Who knoweth the power of-thine anger? Even according to thy | fear, so is-thy | wrath. So teach us to number-our | days, That we may apply our hearts-unto | wisdom. Return, O Lord,-how | long? And let it repent thee-con | cerning-thy | servants. O satisfy us early | with-thy | mercy; That we may rejoice and be gla-dall-our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein | thou hast-afflicted us, And the years where | in-we | have-seen [ evil. Let thy work appear | unto thy | servants, And let the beauty Of the Lord-our | God-be up on us; And establish thou the work of our | handsupon us; Yea the work of our | hands-es | tablish-thou | it. |
