Now, when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. Matt. ii. 1, 2.

And Herod sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go, and search diligently for the young child; and, when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshipped him and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. Matt. ii. 8; 10, 11.

And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. Matt. viii. 2.-While he spake these things, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead; but come and lay thy hand

upon her, and she shall live. Matt. ix. 18.See Mark v. 22. Luke viii. 41.

And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous he was afraid; and, beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Matt. xiv. 29, 30;. 32, 33.

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, OLord, thou son of David; my daughter is griev ously vexed with a devil. Then came she, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. Matt.

xv. 22; 25.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail! And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Matt. xxviii. 8, 9.

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit; and always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. But

shipped him. Mark v. 2; 5, 6.

And he led them out as far as to Bethany: and

he lifted up his hands and blessed them. And it came to pass while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and, carried up into heaven ; and they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. Luke xxiv. 52.

The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement unto the Son: that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. John v. 22, 23.

Jesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. John ix. 35 to 38.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John xiv. 13.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it

seeth him not, neither knoweth him. John xiv. 16, 17.

Wherefore God hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name : That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil. ii. 9 to 11.

And when he bringeth the first-begotten into the world, he saith, "And let all the angels of God worship him." Heb. i. 6.

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne: and when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four-and-twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints. Rev. v. 7, 8.

AS MEDIATOR AND ADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER;-HIGH-PRIEST AND HELPER OF HIS

PEOPLE.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and

made intercession for the trangressors. Isa. liii.

And Jesus lifted up and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me: and I knew that thou hearest me always : but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. John xi. 41, 49.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that wil I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John xiv. 13.

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them. John xvii. 6; 9, 10.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea, that is rather risen again; who is even at the right hand of God; who also maketh intercession for us. Who, then, shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us. Rom. viii. 34, 35; 37.
