Right Rev. Sir,
I feel very grateful for being permitted to dedicate to your Lordship the following pages, containing sentiments with which I endeavoured to inspire your sons when they were my pupils.
It gives me great pleasure publicly to acknowledge my sense of the gratitude due, from every member of our holy Church, for your Lordship’s unwearied and able exertions in defending and supporting her.
That God may long preserve your Lordship’s valuable life, and enable you to watch
