MR. PRESIDENT: Your Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, to whom was referred Senate bill No. 122, entitled "An act to admit A. R. Craften to the practice of medicine and surgery in this State," beg leave to report that they have considered the same, and recommend that it do not pass.

Senator Headlee submitted the following report from the Committee on Internal Improvements, which was read:

MR. PRESIDENT: Your Committee on Internal Improvements, to whom was referred House bill No. 1, entitled "An act relating to street railroads," beg leave to report that they have considered the same, and recommend that it do pass with the accompanying amendments.

House bill No. 1, entitled "An act relating to street railroads," was taken up and the following amendments, reported by the committee, were read first and second times and adopted:

Amendment No. 1: Amend section 1 by adding to said section the following words: "Notwithstanding such road or roads may be nearer to a parallel road than the third parallel street from any road now constructed."

Amendmend No. 2: Amend section 2 by striking out said section. and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "Section 2. That section 3 of an act entitled 'An act concerning street railroads in the city of St. Louis,' approved January 16, 1860, in so far as the same is inconsistent with or repugnant to the provisions of this act, be and the same is hereby repealed."

Senator Headlee offered the following amendment to the title of said bill:

Amend title by adding thereto the following words: "And repealing section 3 of an act concerning street railroads in the city of St. Louis, approved January 16, 1860, in so far as said section conflicts with the provisions of this act;" which was read and adopted and the title, as amended, agreed to.

On motion of Senator Manistre, the rules were suspended, and House bill No. 1, entitled "An act relating to street railroads," as amended, was read third time and passed by the following vote:

Amend section one (1) by inserting between "decree" and "which," 14th line, printed bill, the words "made in such cause," and by adding at the end of said section the following: "An acceptance by any person of the office of judge of probate shall operate as a revocation of all letters testamentary and of administration and of guardianship and curatorship held by such person in his county at the time of his election or appointment."
