PRESIDENT: Your Committee on Ways and Means, to whom was referred Senate bill No. 182, entitled "An act to amend section 7628, article 1, chapter 164, Revised Statutes of Missouri, entitled 'Of the State Treasury,'" beg leave to report that they have considered the same and recommend that it do pass, with the accompanying amendment.

Senate bill No. 182 was taken up and the following amendment, reported by the Committee, was agreed to:

Amend by striking out all after the words "Section 1" in the first line of the bill down to the words "Section 7628," in the eighth line of the bill, and inserting in lieu thereof the following: Section seven thousand six hundred and twenty-eight be and is hereby amended by inserting between the words "coupons" and "paid," in the eighth line of said section, the following: "And bonds and interest thereon ;" and by striking out the words "one-tenth of one per cent." where they occur in the ninth and tenth lines of said section, and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "One-fourth of one per cent. on all coupons, and one-eighth of one per cent. on all bonds and interest thereon," so that said section, when amended, shall read as follows:
