munificence of your piety, and the sincerity of your zeal in this great, this sacred cause.

Now to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, be all honour, and glory, and praise, now and for evermore.-Amen, Amen.

POSTSCRIPT. It was intended to annex some brief Notes confirming the opinions advanced in the preceding Sermon, as to the Prophecies relating to the Jews, the probability of their approaching accomplishment, and the present situation of that singular and interesting people. But the subject was found too extensive and important to be thus summarily discussed. It is therefore reserved for an Appendix to a second edition of the Lectures on the Pentateuch now preparing for the press. In the mean time it is hoped, enough has been said to recommend this sacred cause to the serious attention of every Christian, who wishes, by diffusing the knowledge of Gospel truth, to promote the glory of God and the salvation of man.

NOTE. the author's further views on this subject are to be found in the concluding lecture of the second and subsequent editions of the Pentateuch.EDITOR.
