Be still, my soul: (cres) the waves and winds shall know His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below. 3 Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart, cres Then thou shalt better know His love, His heart, 4 Be still, my soul: (cres) the hour is hastening on When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, Be still, my soul: (cres) when change and tears are past, f All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last. Rise o'er sin and fear and care; Something still to do or bear; Child of heaven, shouldst thou repine? 5 f Haste, then, on from grace to glory, Armed by faith, and winged by prayer; Heaven's eternal day's before thee, God's own hand shall guide thee there. Soon shall close thine earthly mission; Swift shall pass thy pilgrim days; cres Hope soon change to glad fruition, f Faith to sight, and prayer to praise.
