Sida 125 - ... and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly ; and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds...
Sida 292 - The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light.
Sida 65 - Sirat, which they say is laid over the midst of hell, and describe to be finer than a hair, and sharper than the edge of a sword...
Sida 1 - PRAISE be to God, the Lord of all creatures, the most merciful, the king of the day of judgment. Thee do we worship, and of thee do we beg assistance. Direct us in the right way, in the way of those to whom thou hast been gracious ; not of those against whom thou art incensed, nor of those who go astray...
Sida 59 - Revealed at Medina In the Name of the Most Merciful God. OMEN, fear your Lord, who hath created you out of one man, and out of him created his wife, and from them two hath multiplied many men and women : and fear God by whom ye beseech one another ; and respect women who have borne you, for God is watching over you.
Sida 435 - Youths which shall continue in their bloom for ever, shall go round about to attend them, with goblets, and beakers, and a cup of flowing wine : their heads shall not ache by drinking the same, neither shall their reason be disturbed...
Sida 9 - Verily they who believe, and those who Judaize, and the Sabians, and the Christians, whoever of them believeth in God and the last day, and doth that which is right, there shall come no fear on them, neither shall they be grieved.
Sida 61 - And if a man or woman's substance be inherited by a distant relation, and he or she have a brother or sister ; each of them two shall have a sixth part of the estate. But if there be more than this number, they shall be equal sharers in a third part, after payment of the legacies which shall be bequeathed, and the debts, without prejudice to the heirs.
Sida 93 - O true believers, surely wine, and lots, and images, and divining arrows, are an abomination of the work of Satan ; therefore avoid them, that ye may prosper. Satan seeketh to sow dissension and hatred among you, by means of wine and lots, and to divert you from remembering God, and from prayer; will ye not therefore abstain from them?
Sida 232 - And remember when we said unto the angels, Worship Adam ; and they all worshipped him except Eblis, who said, Shall I worship him whom thou hast created of clay ? And he said, What thinkest thou, as to this man whom thou hast honoured above me?
