1 Jacob is comforted by God at Beer-sheba:

AND Israel took his journey with

all that he had, and came to

Jacob, Jacob. And lie said, Here
am I.

3 And he said, I am God, d the God

into Egypt; for I will there make
of thee a great nation.

9 And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, 1The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

10 And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh. 11 T And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of P Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

12 And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, If according to their families.

20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.

21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

15 T And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, "they m Job 15. 21, said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. 16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, 17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for a Prov. 28.13. they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

22 T And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father's house: and Josephi lived a hundred and ten years.

23 And Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh 2 were † brought up upon Joseph's knees.
