CHAPTER XIII.

REVELATION.

11 And I beheld another beast 1 coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And d deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, fand did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, ch.16 2.19.5 and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

AND looked, and, lo, a Lamb

stood on the mount Sion, and with him ba hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, das the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

8 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the carth.

4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they i which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found

as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell and great Babylon b came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

ND there came one of the seven

A angels which had the seven vials,
and talked with me, saying unto me,
Come hither; I will shew unto thee
the judgment of the great whore
d that sitteth upon many waters;
2 With whom the kings of the
earth have committed fornication,
and the inhabitants of the earth
have been made drunk with the
wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, "and f decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand Pfull of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. ver. 8. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have rcceived no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall

give their power and strength unto the beast.

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

14 And the fruits that thy soul lustcd after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. 15 d 'The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatso ever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; " for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
