M.A. of Christ Church, Oxford, and vicar of Dartford, 1765, who died 1778, aged 64, having by her had feven children. He was buried in a vault in St. Edmund's cemetery on the top of Dartford-hill, and has an elegant marble tablet, with a short infcription, against the Eaft wall of the South chancel. He was chaplain to 8p. Wilcox, and is reprefer ted in the print of Bromley palace in Hafted's Kent.

At his houfe in Oxford-treet, the Right Rev. Lewis Bagot, D. D. lord bishop of St. Aisph. Be had been for ten years past in a decline, but was confined to his bed only the day before his death. An illness of fuch long continu nce had waited him to a mere keiston. Though but little known in the work, from the weak itate of his health, which did not admit of his mixing much in it, he was a man of great learning, an.ccomplished fcholar, and of the most gente and amiable manners. He was troflated from the fee of Norwich to that in which he did. The Warburton lectures, preaches in Lincoln's in chapel, are the only works, we believe, that he configned to the prefs. In that duty he followed Bp. Hurd, and, it may perhaps be faid, cum paffibus æquis.

A Clifton, near Britol, of a violent fever, which hated feven weeks, Hannah, eldest daughter of the late Tho. Fletcher, efq. of Ealing, co. Middlefex; born A. D. 1762; married, in November, 1783, to the Rev. George-Henry Galle, M. A. rector of Hanwell, in the fame county; with whom ih lived in perfect domestic union, and the exemplary discharge of every conjugal and maternal duty. They had iflur, 1. Hannah; 2. Caroline; 3. It is worthy of mention, however, that the amount of his fees, during the year immediately preceding his decale, was greater, notwithstanding his advanced age, and infirm health, than it had ever been before in the fame space of time. He ha' always been fond of the pleasures of foc ety; and in his youth, to render the enjoyment of them compatible with his points after knowledge, ne med to fleep very litle He has often, indeed, been known to lecture for three hours in a morning without having undrefled himielf the pre eding night. The vigour of his conititur.on enabled him to futt in, for a confiderable time, without apparent injay, this debilitating mole of life. length he was a tacked with gout, which afterwards become incngular, and for many years frequently affectent ban with excruciting pins in his fomach and bowels. In the latter part of his life a.fo, his feet and cles were almoft conftantly fwo ten; and, shortly before his death, he had fymproms of water in his cheft.

William, who was drowned in the Tams, near his father's houfe in Eff-x-freet, at the age of 11. The lofs of him continued to afflict his father to the time of his own death. 4. Margaret, who is pnmarried.

AnotherCorreípondent adds, "When fome men die," They die alf;" nothin, þvag occurred in their tranfit through life worthy of record, or converfation by memory.
