Ps. xliii 8. O send out thy light, and truth, let them lead me.

li 11. Cast me not away from thy presence..

The Lord is my light and my salvation.

O Lord teach me good judgment and knowledge.

Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God.

Jer. x 23. O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself, it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Prayer taken from the 9th chapter of the Wisdom of Solomon.

O God of my Fathers, and Lord of mercy, who hast made all things by thy word.

Give me wisdom that sitteth by thy throne, and reject me not from among thy Children.

O send her out of thy holy heavens, and from the throne of thy glory, that being present with me, she may labour with me, that I may know what is pleasing unto thee.

Ejaculations of a heart thirsting and praying after righteousness.

Ps. Rejoice the soul of thy servant, for unto thee O God, do I lift up my soul.

My soul thirsteth for God; yea, even for the living God; when shall I come to appear before the presence of God.

O Lord wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Pour upon us the spirit of prayer and supplication, of thanksgiving and praise.

O Lord open thou my lips, and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

God be merciful unto us and bless us, and shew uś the light of his countenance.

Search me O Lord, and know my heart; try me and know my thought.

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Set a watch O Lord before my mouth, and keep the door of my lips.

Examine me O Lord, and prove me; try my sins and my heart.

Acts of thanksgiving and praise,

Ps. Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his wrath endureth but a moment; in his favor is life; weeping, may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works.

While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises unto the Lord whilst I have any being.

Praise ye the Lord; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely. Bless the Lord () my soul, and all that is within me, bless me his holy name.

Bless the Lord my soul, and forget not all his benifits who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.

Who redeemeth thy life from distruction, and crowneth thee with loving kindness, and tender mercies.

O Lord, how manifold are thy works in wisdom; hast thou made them, all the earth is full of thy riches.

I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises unto my God, as long as I have being.

O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.

Not unto us O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy and truth's sake.

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endureth forever.

Thou art worthy O Lord, to receive honor and glory and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they were, and are created

Revelations. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just art thou in all thy ways thou king of saints.

Ps. O how great is thy goodness which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of

men.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall be continually in my mouth.

Let all those that seek thee Lord, rejoice and be glad in thee; let such as love thee, say continually, the Lord be magnified.

Isaih xlix 18. Sing O heavens, and be joyful O earth, and break forth into singing O mountains, for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy on his afflicted.

Ps. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.

Meditations, confessions and prayers, for such as are in distress.

Ps. I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim, and water my couch with my tears. Consider and hear me O Lord my God; lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death.

Remember O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy loving kindnesses, for they have been ever of old.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness sake, O Lord.

O remember not against us, former iniquities; let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us, for we are , brought very low.

Bow down O Lord: hear me, for I am poor and needy; my heart is wounded within me.

O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

Attend unto me and hear me; I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise.

And I said O that I had wings like a dove, that I might flee away and be at rest.

So then I would wander afar off, and remain in the - wilderness.

God be merciful unto us and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us.

But I am poor and sorrowful, let thy salvation set me on high.

O my God, I am ashamed, and blush to lift up my face to thee my God; for our iniquities are increased over our heads, and our trespasses has grown up unto the heavens.

And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespasses, O God, thou hast punished us much less than our iniquities deserve.

Howbeit that thou art just in all that is brought upon us, for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly.

Behold for peace, I have had great bitterness, but thou hast in love to my soul, delivered it from the pit of
