An examination of the importance of oral experience as reflected in literature and using psychoanalytic theory as forwarded by Freud, Karl Abraham, Melanie Klein, and Julia Kristeva. Throughout a case is made for the pervasive pleasures, dreads, desires and dramas of the mouth.
