PRAYER TO BE SAID DAILY.

GOOD JESUS, God of the angels, help me and all the other members of this Guild, to think of Thee and to love Thee. Keep us in all things quite truthful, pure, modest and brave, and help us to prepare ourselves for the great blessings of Confirmation and First Communion: for Thine own merit's sake. Amen.

Office of the Guild.

A HYMN.

N the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Then shall be said by all, the following Prayer:

ALMIGHTY God, unto whom all hearts be open,

all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid; cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of Thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love Thee, and worthily magnify Thy holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Then the Priest, turning to the Children, shall say : Jesus said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy mind, and all thy soul, and all thy strength: this is the first and great commandment.

Answer.-Lord, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Priest. The second is like unto it, namely this : Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Answer.-Lord, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Priest.-I said, I will confess my sins unto the

Lord.

Answer. And so Thou forgavest the wickedness of my sin.

Priest.-Make me a clean heart, O God.

Answer. And renew a right spirit within me. Priest.-Pitifully behold the sorrows of our hearts. Answer. Mercifully forgive the sins of Thy people. Priest.-Favourably with mercy hear our prayers. Answer.-O Son of David, have mercy upon us. Priest.-Both now and ever vouchsafe to hear us, O Christ.

Answer.-Graciously hear us, O Christ; graciously hear us, O Lord Christ.

Priest.-O Lord, let Thy mercy be shewed upon us.
Answer. As we do put our trust in Thee.

Then shall be said or sung one or both of the Psalms following:

THE

PSALM XXIII.

HE Lord is my shepherd: therefore can I lack nothing.

He shall feed me in a green pasture and lead me forth beside the waters of comfort.

He shall convert my soul and bring me forth in the paths of righteousness, for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me.

Thou shalt prepare a table before me against them that trouble me; thou hast anointed my head with oil, and my cup shall be full.

But thy loving-kindness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Glory be, &c.

As it was, &c.

TEA

PSALM CXIX.

EACH me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes and
I shall keep it unto the end.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law : yea, I shall keep it with my whole heart.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments : for therein is my desire.

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies: and not to

covetousness.

O turn away mine eyes, lest they behold vanity : and quicken thou me in thy way.

O stablish thy word in thy servant: that I may fear thee.
