former things. of Balhan came out against us, he and all and the border even unto the river Jabhis people, to battle at Edrei. bok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

2 And the LORD faid unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didft unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Hefhbon.

3 So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og alfo, the king of Bafhan, and all his people and we fmote him until none was left to him remaining.

4 And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threefcore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bathan.

All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.

6 And we utterly deftroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly deftroying the men, women, and children, of every city.

7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this fide Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon ;

9 (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;) To All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bafhan, unto Salcah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

II For only Og king of Bahan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

17 The plain alfo, and Jordan, and the coaft thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the fea of the plain, even the falt fea, under Afhdoth-pifgah eastward.

18 And I commanded you at that time, faying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to poffefs it: ye fhall pafs over armed before your brethren the children of Ifrael, all that are meet for the war.

19 But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) fhall abide in your cities which I have given you;

20 Until the LORD have given reft unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also poffefs the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then thall ye return every man unto his poffeffion, which I have given you.

21 And I commanded Jofhua at that time, faying, Thine eyes have feen all that the LORD your God hath done unto thefe two kings: fo fhall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou paffeft.

22 Ye fhall not fear them: for the LORD your God he fhall fight for you.. 23 ¶ And I befought the LORD at that time, faying,

24 O LORD God, thou haft begun to fhew thy fervant thy greatnefs, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

25 I pray thee, let me go over, and fee the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

26 But the LORD was wroth with me for your fakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD faid unto me, Let it fuffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

12 And this land, which we poffeffed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the 27 Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, Reubenites and to the Gadites. and lift up thine eyes weftward, and 13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Ba-northward, and fouthward, and eastfhan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I ward, and behold it with thine eyes: for unto the half tribe of Manaffeh; all the thou shalt not go over this Jordan. region of Argob, with all Bafhan, which was called the land of giants.

14 Jair the fon of Manaffeh took all the country of Argob unto the coaft of Gefhuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bafhan-havoth-jair, unto this day.

15 And I gave Gilead unto Machir. 16 And unto the Reubenites and un-1 to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley,

28 But charge Jofhua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he thall go over before this people, and he shall caufe them to inherit the land which thou fhalt fee.

29 So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.

43 Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manaffites.

44 And this is the law which Mofes fet before the children of Ifrael:

34 Or hath God affayed to go and take him a nation from the midft of another nation, by temptations, by figns, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

4 The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

25 Now therefore why fhould we die? for this great fire will confume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die..

27 Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God fhall fay: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God fhall fpeak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD faid unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well faid all that they have spoken.
