AND ALL LUNG DISEASES.

By G. T. CONGREVE, Coombe Lodge, Peckham.

The Nature, Progress, and True Treatment of this Scourge of England, with 133 Selected Cases.

The following REMARKABLE CASES are selected from the NINTH SERIES, which have been appearing ONE EVERY WEEK IN THE WEEKLY PAPERS.

CONSUMPTION.-CASE of MISS JACOBS.

Mr. John Rayment, B.M.)

(Reported by

MR. RAYMENT says: "For many years I have proved the value of your inestimable medicine in my own case and that of members of my family, and in cases when visiting the afflicted in various parts (where I have travelled in connection with Christian work), I have induced them to adopt your treatment Your kindness in supplying medicine to

the very poor at reduced cost has been a great help.

"The case of Miss J., so recently restored, by God's blessing on your advice and medicine, should be well made known. She was suffering at the time I first saw her with very severe cough, wasting of flesh, loss of appetite, and all the symptoms of one fast fading away, with much mental sadness and despondency.

"After a few weeks' taking the medicine, and use of the external application ordered by you, there was great improvement. By continuing the same for a few months, her health has been restored. She is now quite well.-JOHN RAYMENT, 10, Clarendon Place, Camberwell, New Road, January 7th, 1884."

CASE of a YOUNG LADY in DEEP CONSUMPTION.Reported by Rev. T. P. BULLEN, of ROSALIE, BRINNINGTON RISE, STOCKPORT.

"MY DEAR SIR,-For some years I have been an advocate of your Balsam for Consumption, Bronchitis, &c. I have distributed copies of your book, and given your medicine to patients, with the very best possible effects.

"This case especially has come under my personal notice:-A young lady who had been treated by two doctors for a long time, and got no better, but worse, at last was given up by them as incurable, in the last stage of Consumption. Her own minister, just going away for a few weeks, called on her, and bade her a long good-bye, never expecting to see her again on "this side of the river." As a last resource your treatment was adopted, with this result: that she thoroughly recovered, and has enjoyed fairly good health ever since.-Yours very truly, "T. P. BULLEN."

In a letter dated January 3rd, 1884, Mr. Bullen writes:-"Thanks for the medicine and books. I have received already a good testimony to the efficacy of the same from one whom I advised a fortnight ago. A consumptive patient, with troublesome cough, declares she is not like the same person. This is good," &c., &c.

PAGE WOODCOCK'S WIND PILES

MANCHESTER, June 18th, 1877.

TO MR. PACE D. WOODCOCK.

SIR, I have found your Pills an excellent preparation for the Constipation and Flatulency so common in both sexes. They possess great advantages over other Pills. Their uniformity in strength, the smallness of the dose, and the certainty of their action, commend them to those who require a Tonic to assist digestion, relieve Wind in the Stomach, exert a special influence on the Liver, and also the peristaltic motion of the Bowels, resulting from Chronic Indigestion and lack of Assimilation. The more my experience in their varied applicability extends, the more their beneficial effects appear, and many households have found a great friend in your preparation, for the promotion of a healthy digestion. Their favourable action are all that could be wished for. I am, faithfully yours, THOS. FOSTER KER, Surgeon.
