Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore,

Till suns shall rise and set no more.

Min. Now unto him that is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

Con. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Min. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with you all, evermore. Amen.

CLOSING ASCRIPTIONS, HYMN AND BENEDICTION.

Evening.

Min. Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty, just and true are all thy ways, thou king of saints.

Con. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee.

Min. Salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Con. Amen. Blessing, and glory, and honor be unto our God forever and ever.

1 Lord, dismiss us with thy blessing,
Hope and comfort from above;
Let us each thy peace possessing,
Triumph in redeeming love.

2 Thanks we give, and adoration,
For thy gospel's joyful sound;
May the fruits of thy salvation
In our hearts and lives abound.

Min. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us;

Con. Unto him be glory in the church, by Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Min. The Lord God Almighty bless, preserve and keep you. The Lord lift up the light of his countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forever. Amen.

A SELECTION

FROM THE

PSALMS OF DAVID.

The First Day.

MORNING PRAYER.

PSALM I.

BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doethshall prosper.

The ungodly are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly leadeth to destruction.

How many,

PSALM III.

O Lord, are they that trouble me! how many are they that rise up against me!

How many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.

But thou, O Lord, art my shield, my deliverer, and the lifter up of my

head.

I cry unto the Lord with my voice, and he heareth me out of his holy hill.

I lay me down and sleep; I awake, for the Lord sustaineth me.

Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God; for salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people.

PSALM IV.

HEAR me when I call, O God my defender: thou hast helped me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

I know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
