A general Thanksgiving.

ALMIGHTY God, Father of all mercies, we thine unworthy servants do give thee most humble and hearty thanks for all thy goodness and loving kindness to us and to all men, (particularly for the mercies and benefits of the past day.) We bless thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And we beseech thee, give us that due sense of all thy mercies, that our hearts may be unfeignedly thankful, and that we may show forth thy praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives; by giving up ourselves to thy service, and by walking before thee in holiness

and righteousness all our days, through Jesus Christ our Lord; to whom with thee and the Holy Ghost be all honour and glory, world without end. Amen.

ALMIGHTY God, who hath given us grace at this time, with one accord to make our common supplications unto thee; and dost promise, that when two or three are gathered together in thy Name, thou wilt grant their requests; Fulfil now, O Lord, the desires and petitions of thy servants, as may be most expedient for them; granting us in this world knowledge of thy truth, and in the world to come life everlasting.

VISIT we beseech thee, O Lord, this house and family, and drive far from it all the snares of the enemy; let thy holy angels dwell herein to preserve us in peace; and let thy blessing be upon us for ever, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tuesday.

Look graciously, O Lord, upon thy Church in this house, and hear us when we pray, for all who are commended to

our prayers by kindred or alliance, by the obligation of benefits received, by charge entrusted to our care, by moral friendship, by Christian charity, by promise, by mutual duty; be thou merciful unto us all, and bless us, and show us the light of thy countenance, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Wednesday.

ALMIGHTY Father, who hast given thine only begotten Son to be unto us a sacrifice for sin, an example of meek and patient suffering, and a mirror of righteousness and true holiness of life; give us grace that we may receive that his inestimable benefit with all thankfulness of heart, and also daily endeavour ourselves to follow the blessed steps of his most holy life, through he same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
