grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit and in the bond of peace, that we may become an Holy Temple acceptable unto thee. Give us the abundance of thy grace, that with one heart we may desire the prosperity of thy holy apostolic Church, and with one mouth profess the faith once delivered to the Saints. Defend us from the sins of heresy and schism, let not the foot of pride come nigh to hurt us, nor the hand of the ungodly to cast us down. grant that the course of this world may be so peaceably ordered by thy governance, that thy Church may joyfully serve thee in all godly quietness; that so we may walk in the ways of truth and peace, and at last be numbered with thy Saints in glory everlasting, through thy merits, O blessed Jesus, thou gracious Bishop and Shepherd of our Souls, who art with the Father and the Holy

Ghost, one God, world without end.

Amen.

A Thanksgiving.

WE yield thee humble thanks, O heavenly Father, that thou hast vouchsafed to call us to the knowledge of thy grace and faith in thee; increase this knowledge and confirm this faith in us evermore. Give us thy Holy Spirit, that having been born again and made heirs of everlasting salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, we may continue thy servants and attain thy promises; through the same Jesus Christ thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the same Holy Spirit, everlastingly. Amen.

Concluding Prayer.

UNTO thy gracious mercy and protection, O Lord, we commit ourselves. O Lord bless us and keep us. O Lord make thy face to shine upon us and be gracious unto us. O Lord lift up the light of thy countenance upon us, and give us peace both now and evermore. Amen.

Let us humbly confess our sins before Almighty God.

The Confession to be said of the whole Family after the Person officiating, all kneeling.

Spare us, therefore, O Lord, spare thy people, whom thou hast redeemed; enter not into judgment with thy servants, who are vile earth, and miserable sinners; but so turn thine anger from us, who meekly acknowledge our vileness, and truly repent us of our faults; and so make haste to help us in this world, that we may ever live with thee in the world to come, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Then shall follow the Lord's Prayer.

OUR Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done in earth, as it
