Requirement: The Secretary of the Interior shall report to the Congress at the beginning of each regular session all agreements entered into during the previous year providing compensation to the United States when unleased lands owned by the United States are being drained of oil or gas by wells drilled on adjacent lands. Abstract: This report lists situations where a royalty is paid in lieu of drilling a well which would be required under the covenants of a lease, that is either expressed or implied.

Requirement: A report shall be made to the Congress on April 1 and October 1 of each year of the contracts negotiated for the disposal of mineral and vegetative materials on public lands during the period since the date of the last report. The report shall include the name of the purchaser, the appraised value of the material involved, the amount of the contract, and a statement of the circumstances leading to the determination to negotiate the contract rather than advertise it. Abstract: Data are compiled for each state, listing congressional district, county, Bureau of Land Management district, name and address of purchaser, contract number, date of sale, name of product, units sold, units of measure, value per unit, total value, and justification codes. Abstract: This report summarizes the progress and problems encountered by the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in the administration of the Wild Horse and Burro Act.
